What is Jersey Cat?

What is Jersey Cat? JerseyCat is the name of the statewide Interlibrary Loan system provided by the New Jersey State Library. If we cannot provide material to you first through our PALS Plus consortium, we can try obtaining it through this statewide loan network. Anyone can use it to search New Jersey libraries for holdings on books or other library material. Haledon Library cardholders can request materials through the JerseyCat link. Requests must be made with your home library. The requests will be reviewed and if your library card is in good standing, your request will be forwarded to libraries that own the material. Depending on the availability of the requested material and the distance it is traveling, arrival time can be unpredictable. You will get a phone call when the material arrives at the Haledon Library. You can track your requests through the JerseyCat link. Click on the “My Account” tab near the top left of the screen and log in.

Textbooks are usually not available for lending, and if they are, they cannot be renewed or checked out for a whole semester.
